WAEES is in a unique position to conduct analysis of the Missouri and Mississippi River systems due to Principal John Kruse’s expertise. Dr. Kruse has extensive experience with the issues on the Lower Missouri River and Upper Mississippi including stakeholders such as power plants, municipal water treatment facilities, tow operators, farmers, and environmental issue groups. He operates a flow model and river water temperature model for the Missouri River. He has conducted spatial analysis on the impact of the availability of river navigation on commodity prices as well as lock and dam analysis on the Mississippi River.
