The WAEES Global Agricultural Forecast

The WAEES Global Agricultural Forecast is produced twice a year and sequenced to capture the impact of the crop size estimates in the northern and southern hemisphere.  The report is also designed to capture USDA’s semi-annual release of global livestock production numbers in April and October.

Geographic coverage includes:

  • North America – Canada, Mexico, and the United States
  • Caribbean and Central America as one region
  • South America – Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay and Uruguay and other South America
  • European Union 28 as a region
    • Additional country breakouts for large crop producing EU-28 countries available.  These breakouts will cover area, yield, and production for all crops in the WAEES modeling system.
  • Other Europe as a region
  • Former Soviet Union – Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and other Former Soviet Union
  • Middle East – Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and other Middle East
  • East Asia – China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Other East Asia

Historical Data and Forecast Horizon

WAEES uses USDA’s Production, Supply, and Disposition Estimates generated by the World Board and the Foreign Agricultural Service as the primary source of historical data for the quantities of supply and demand by commodity and country.  Some specific country data is taken from the Ministries of Agriculture within each country.  The December forecast will use historical data as available.  The WAEES forecast provides annual projections for each year through marketing year 2030/31.  Historical data is also presented as available beginning in 1980.

Product Deliverables

  • With each forecast, WAEES currently provides a large hyperlinked Excel spreadsheet containing the global forecast for all commodities and regions (over 700 tables).
  • An Access database
  • A written summary for each WAEES global forecast ranging between 50 and 75 pages is provided
  • A set of Power Point slides summarizing each forecast is assembled.

Pricing

There are several options that clients can select from in subscribing to the WAEES forecast.  These options continue to evolve based on client requests, so if you need something unique to your situation, please let us know.

WAEES does not place any restrictions on the number of users within a company, however it is important that clients understand that the WAEES forecast is proprietary and is not to be distributed outside the client’s company.
